Qixing Mao, MD, is a thoracic surgeon, who specializes in the treatment of thoracic cancers, including esophageal cancer and lung cancer. He graduated from the Nanjing Medical University. He begins his internship and residency in Nanjing Medical University affiliated Cancer Hospital, where he is trained by Dr. Lin Xu during his second year. He then became a research fellow in Jiangsu Key laboratory of molecular and translational cancer research, where he worked on cancer related signaling pathways and lung microbiome for lung cancer.

Dr. Mao’s research interest involve the clinical oncology, especially, surgical innovation in lung cancer and esophageal cancer. And he is also interested in basic research including mechanisms of cancer.
