Prof Chim is the SH Ho Professor in Haematology & Oncology at the University of Hong Kong. He has authored >240 publications in leading international journals including Journal of Clinical Oncology (IF: 24.0), Leukemia (IF: 11.7), and Blood (IF: 13.8).
Prof Chim’s research leadership in myeloma and DNA methylation of blood cancers is internationally recognised. He is an invited member of the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG), founding Executive Council Member of Asian Myeloma Network (AMN), founding member of International Academy of Clinical Hematology (IACH), invited member of the Global Committee of the European Society for Blood & Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), invited member of the Chinese American Hematologists and Oncologists (CAHON) and Chairman of the Education Program of the Asia Pacific Hematology Consortium (APHCON). He founded the Hong Kong Society of Myeloma (HKSOM), and is its current Chairman.
Prof Chim has been an reviewer for Annual Scientific Meeting by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) & European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) in addition to international grant funding bodies including Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, Leukemia Research (United Kingdom), Cancer Research (United Kingdom), The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star) of Singapore, & Association for International Cancer Research (AICR), U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF), etc.
Since 2011, Prof Chim has been invited to speak at over 35 international or regional meetings including Highlight of ASH (American Society of Hematology), ESMO Asia (European Society of Medical Oncology) in Singapore, Bridging the Gap in Hematological malignancies (BTG), Annual meeting of International Society of Hematology (ISH) & Japanese Society of Medical Oncology (JSMO), International Clinical Epigenetics Meeting (Düsseldorf, Germany), First World Congress of Controversies in Multiple Myeloma (COMy), International Myeloma Workshop (Kyoto) & Post-American Society Hematology Conference (New York, USA).
