Xiaofei Wang, Ph.D., obtained his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently an Associate Professor of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Duke University School of Medicine, a full member of Duke Cancer Institute (DCI), and the Director of Statistics of the Alliance Statistics and Data Center. The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology is part of the National Cancer Institute's Clinical Trials Network (NCI-NCTN). In the past twelve years, he has been involved in design and analysis of cancer clinical trials and translational studies at Alliance, CALGB, and DCI. He is an associate editor for Statistics in Biopharmaceutical Research and has served on special emphasis panels for NIH and FDA grants. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, editorials, and letters, and is the co-editor for the book “Current and Controversial issues in Design and Analysis of Cancer Clinical Trials” published by Chapman & Hall. His methodology research is focused on the development of novel designs for biomarker-integrated clinical studies, methods of biomarker and predictive signatures discovery and validation, and methods for analyzing patient data from multiple sources. His collaborative and method research has been funded by NIH R03, R21 and P01 grants.
