Vitamin E in prevention against hepatocellular carcinoma: right type, right dose and right population

Stephen L. Chan, Brigette B.Y. Ma

Abstract

Globally, cancer has surpassed cardiovascular disease as the leading cause of death. In 2008, more than 7.5 million deaths are attributable to malignant diseases worldwide (1). Amongst all the natural health supplements, vitamin E is probably the most intensively studied cancer preventive agent because of its renowned anti-oxidant property.
